Kidsport is a national children's charitable program that helps disadvantaged kids over-come the barriers preventing or limiting their participation in organized sport. A child can receive up to $300 per calendar to help offset the cost of organized sport registration and/or equipment . Equipment grants cannot exceed $200. In operation since 1994, Kidsport Nova Scotia has allocated over three-quarters of a million dollars to help children take part in organized sport.

One of the application deadlines for Kidsport is May 1st. In order for the club to plan teams, coaches and sessions we need to know by May 1st if you are applying for funding. This means that we need you to register your son or daughter with the club and we will wait till the funding comes in. After May 1st the registration fees must be paid up front and the club will reimburse you when your Kidsport application is approved and funding is received.
